Jason Cormier
I began CrossFitting in 2016 at the urging of my wife. She had been CrossFitting for about a year and told me that it would be a game changer for me. I fought her for a while, but after my first class with me laying in a puddle of my own sweat, I was hooked. A few months later, our gym hosted a competition and asked for volunteers. It was here when I realized I needed to become more involved. I took my L1 and began coaching in December of that year. The next year we moved to Lafayette and found Grounded Fitness Acadiana. We quickly plugged into the community and I began coaching here. I have since gotten my CF- L2. I also have a Level 2 Certification in Fascia Stretch Therapy, and I’m passionate about helping people to improve their mobility and feel better in general. I love seeing members succeed, especially new members that are hungry to learn and eager to soak up the culture. I am looking forward to this next chapter with the gym, and I’m excited to help it move forward.
